What are the steps to set up a new site and how much does it cost?

      1. First and very important, you must acquire a web address.

A cost of $6.00 to $12.00 per year for your web address (domain name) depending on the type of . extension (.com or. us or other . extensions ) .
You own the name forever as long as you pay the yearly fee to keep it.

       2. Next you need to have a web site designed to meet your objectives.

Cost about $500.00 for a small web site of five pages to $900.00 for a larger web site and a small charge for additional pages.

         3. The web site must be put up on the internet.

The web site must be installed on a special computer called a Web SERVER or WEB HOST. This will host the site and allow the web site to be viewed twenty-four hours a day on the internet around the world.

 4. Promote the web site.

You have to promote the web site by advertising the WWW.address on your business cards, stationery and every place that you can. You then have to be prepared to respond promptly to any activity that the site generates.

If this seems complex, be assured it is not!  Basically the steps are simple and you can make the arrangements yourself or, if I design your web site I can do them for you and it will not add to the costs.
